Australia’s future is bigger than the next election

Renewing how Australia leads, decides and governs for the long-term.

Our mission is to equip Australian leaders to think beyond electoral cycles and financial quarters to make the strategic long-term investments that lay the foundations for a thriving community, environment, and economy for years to come.
Foundations for Tomorrow

Three pillars of change

Everything we do is organised around a clear theory of change, from sparking conversation to embedding it in institutions.

01 · Awareness & Dialogue

Awareness & Dialogue

We collaborate with citizens, political leaders and experts to surface the long-term questions a short-term system rarely asks.

02 · Research & Roadmaps

Research & Roadmaps

We translate energy and ambitions into evidence-based, economically informed solutions to secure Australia's long-term prosperity.

03 · Activation & Mobilisation

Activation & Mobilisation

We build the leadership capability, networks and coalitions needed to turn long-term thinking into lasting, institutional change.

What guides our work

Our approach is rigorous and proactively non-partisan, grounded in evidence, focused on the institutions and infrastructure Australia needs to thrive over the long-term. We work across geographies, generations and political divides to deliver solutions to serve Australians today and tomorrow.

01

Integrity & Evidence-Based Solutions

We stand on rigorous analysis, research and facts. Our partnerships with esteemed research institutions and our internal research team ensure that all advocacy, programs and policy recommendations are grounded in reality and geared toward protecting the long-term wellbeing of current and future generations.

02

Pragmatic Policy Solutions

Our multi-partisan approach values policy that extends beyond the day-to-day electoral cycle. We provide insights, support and accountability to drive practical, long-term governance solutions that safeguard intergenerational wellbeing and prosperity.

03

Collaboration & Inclusion

We believe inclusivity, diversity and collaboration make us stronger. By prioritising unity over siloed approaches, we enrich our work with multiple viewpoints and lived experiences. This ensures the future we help shape is one Australians from all communities can collectively embrace.

04

A Future-Focused Australia

We recognise that each generation carries the responsibility of intergenerational stewardship. By acknowledging our shared history and centering the leadership, knowledge and practices of First Nations peoples, we ensure the future we build is inclusive, resilient and sustainable for all Australians.

Let's build the foundations for Australia's future

The Lab is a 12-month collaborative design process to develop a uniquely Australian model for a National Conversation, grounded in the realities of everyday Australians. More than 150 organisations and experts have already signed up to bring this ambitious vision to life. It's underway now, and being built in the open.
